Bialosky Cleveland served as Architect of Record for Centric, a mixed-use retail and residential community located in Cleveland’s burgeoning cultural hub of University Circle. The site sits west of the Little Italy neighborhood, southeast of the new Uptown district, MOCA Cleveland, and the Cleveland Institute of Art, with Case Western Reserve University’s campus a short 5 minute walk away.
The seven story multi-family over retail building fronts Mayfield Road and Circle Drive with six floors of market-rate apartments in a variety of sizes for a total of 272 units. A five level, 360 space, parking garage has been placed along the east railroad tracks. This configuration of the two buildings forms a dynamic half-acre public courtyard in the center with lush green space, a community pavilion, and unique stormwater infrastructure to clean and recycle rainwater on site. Centric was awarded LEED Silver Certification in 2019.
