Progressive Insurance Campus II, principal designer William Bialosky, included site selection and master planning for a campus to accommodate 4,000 employees in four office buildings and 3,600 cars in surface and structured parking. A command center to monitor all national operations, a data center, information systems laboratories, a visitor’s center, a dining facility, a health and fitness center, and a central chiller plant were included. Campus II continued a long a relationship with Progessive dating back to 1972 that has evolved with both architect and client. Campus II solidified Progressive’s reputation as a leader in contemporary work environments., and a central chiller plant were included. The relationship established with Progressive Campus I with Mayfield Village carried over to Campus II, a mile away. With 25 preserved acres of wetland, fitness center and a municipal pool complex, the site is enjoyed by the village residents and Progressive’s employees. The partnership has continued to the benefit of both Mayfield Village and Progressive Insurance resulting in preserved open space, increased economic base and tax revenues, enhanced municipal infrastructure, a fast-tracked, stream-lined approval process, municipal –corporate cooperation and shared facilities.
