This program gives nonprofits access to a design team to kick-start a project that will uplift our Northeast Ohio communities. Selected partners will receive custom design services tailored to their specific needs. The partnership provides up to $20,000 in pro-bono design and consultation services. Our scope may include visioning sessions, site analysis, feasibility studies, master planning, site planning, conceptual design, and architectural and interior design consultation.

Our collaborative process begins with understanding your organization's unique needs and aspirations. From there, we establish appropriate deliverables that might include:

Partnership Criteria

We're seeking organizations that demonstrate both need and readiness for design services. Eligible partners must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits, in good standing with and authorized to do business within the state by the State of Ohio, and with a maximum annual operating budget (expenses) of $3 million. Preference is given to Organizations whose project is located within 50 miles of Cleveland. Projects preferably fall within these parameters:

  • Master Planning: 50 acres or less
  • Architecture / Interior: Under 20,000 SF
  • Excluded: Hazardous materials assessment, single family residences

Applications must be submitted online via the Design for Good - Application.

To be considered, and submitted, all required application fields must be completed. Each application will be reviewed and scored based upon the following Criteria:

  • Does the Organization directly serve an underserved community
  • Does the Organization illustrate need and would $20,000 of Design & Consultation services make a meaningful impact to the project
  • Does the Organization have the ability to manage the proposed project
  • Is the timeline for executing the project achievable
  • Does the Project align with the Organization’s mission and values
  • Is the Project located within 50 miles of Cleveland, OH

The application review and selection process, including any applicable follow up conversations with the applicant, is anticipated to take one month.
