The new design-forward mid-rise building in Tremont earned a Merit Award from AIA Ohio, which was revealed at the virtual ceremony last week. Juror Anne Schopf, FAIA, Design Partner at Mahlum Architects, commented on the smart planning strategy to pull-back and celebrate the urban corner. She expressed there is a pleasing separation and rhythm of openings – and applauded against overpacking the building with units, which would have made the pattern impossible. Congratulations to our project team, our collaborators, and our client, Sustainable Community Associates, for bringing this inspiring Opportunity Zone project to life.
